After a stretch of hot summer weather in Minnesota, the temperatures finally cooled down just enough to create the perfect day for their wedding. The weather was comfortable, the light was beautiful, and everything came together perfectly.
From the moment we met, Alex and Nick were an absolute joy to be around. They had what I'd like to call the perfect wedding bliss attitude. They were simply excited to be together, soaking in every moment of one of the biggest days of their lives. Their happiness was contagious, and it made documenting their day such a memorable experience.
Wedding portraits at the minnesota state capitol
We started the day with portraits at the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul, one of my favorite locations for wedding photography. During normal business hours (outside of government meetings), the Capitol is open to explore, making it an incredible location for couples looking for timeless portraits.
The grand marble staircases, detailed architecture, and historic charm made every corner feel like something out of a castle. While the Capitol itself is stunning, what made these portraits truly special was Alex and Nick's connection. They laughed easily, enjoyed every quiet moment together, and their love shines through in every image.
An Intimate Ceremony at the Hennepin Government Center
After portraits, we headed to the Hennepin Government Center in Minneapolis for their ceremony.
The natural light inside created the perfect setting for their intimate wedding. Surrounded by their immediate family, Alex and Nick exchanged vows and officially began their next chapter together. It was simple, meaningful, and filled with so much joy. I was honored to document every smile, embrace, and happy tear along the way.
